The act of managing has always had an essential role in human communities' activity, but now, when the complexity of life has considerably increased and the number of risks has significantly grown, the problem of management quality, especially of manoeuvres, has received very special relevance. This paper presents a series of issues on the diversity of leadership styles and, as such, of managers' typology. Two particular aspects are also addressed, namely the leader's role in leadership and the characteristics of the manager with international vocation.
The study also concludes with some considerations on how to prepare the management agenda, on the manager's behaviour related to the traps which can occur at any time. We hope the study will help managers for self-analysis and to choose the most efficient leadership style.
