Abstract:
Teleworking is a remote activity carried out by information and communication technology (ICT) equipments so that the employee is able to perform his job duties away from his office. Teleworking is a kind of flexible work which is more and more used as a way of reducing personal costs, improving productivity, reducing pollution. This paper is an introduction to teleworking and presents concepts related to this area, also presenting the evolution and trends of this form of work in the European Union and Central and Eastern Europe.
